Thanks to Dr. Baxter for his trust and encouragement at an early point in my career. His was a calming influence through some tough times for our department. I am happy to have rescued a book of his from the old RVH. It is entitled Sibir (about Siberia) by Farley Mowat, and was given to him by a grateful patient who apparently shared his interest in the north.
