CONDON, Marilyn

The family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Marilyn Condon. Marilyn passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital on Friday, July 19, 2019 at the age of 75, surrounded by the love of her family. Marilyn was the beloved wife of Brian for 55 years, the loving mother of Dan (Karen) and Tracey (Dave Heaton). She will be sadly missed by her pride and joy, her four grandsons, James, Connor, Sean and Jack. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Mary Kennedy, by her brothers Jack, Gary, Gerry, Michael and by her sister Colleen. She is survived by her brother Gord (Marian), her sister-in-law Bryna and by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Marilyn always placed the needs of others above herself. She lived her life to the fullest with a smile and a laugh regardless of her personal circumstances, which included fighting hard against Multiple Sclerosis for over 20 years. While she had a long working career, primarily with Sears and then as a District Manager with United Cigar Store, what was most important to her was her family, her friends, her extensive gardens and her beloved dogs.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Parish (58 Sydenham Street, Dundas) on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 10:00am. Reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marilyn can be made to the Hamilton-Burlington SPCA or to your local Animal Aid which would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

My heartfelt condolences to my brother Brian and family in the loss of Marilyn. Marilyn has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, she was more than a sister-in-law, she was a big sister. From taking me to the park as a child with Brian, Marilyn was there for all the big moments in my life, my sponser at Confirmation, throwing jelly beans instead of confetti at my wedding, black roses on my 30th birthday, cows on my front lawn for my 40th birthday and helping Daryl and I when we moved into our first home. I will remember her meat balls, macaroni salad, and Christmas dinners, with enough food to feed an army. Marilyn's smile was infectious, her sense of humour a little quirky and she had a heart of gold. I will always remember you Marilyn with a smile. Rest in Peace.

It's hard to know where to start. First I would like to send condolences to all Marilyn's family and friends. Her passing will leave us all feeling a void in our lives but also with so many great memories of the past 50 plus years of her smile, sense of humour, sharp wit, awesome intelligence. She was also the best Mother and Grandmother ever. To me, she was the friend that comes along to the lucky, once in a life time. I will love and miss her forever
