Stait, Carolyn Ruth (nee Blois)

After an extended hospital stay and several amazing recoveries, Carolyn passed away with her family by her side at Joseph Brant Hospital on Tuesday June 18, 2019. Loving mother to Greg Stait and Kim (Mike) Bevington. Sister to Walter G. Blois and extraordinary special Grammy to Christopher and RJ. Carolyn will also be missed by her many friends, neighbours and those at the Burlington Seniors' Centre (especially those from Pickleball and Stained Glass). A huge thank you from Carolyn’s family to the many Nurses, PSWs, Doctors, Cleaners, Physio, Porters and Volunteers at Joseph Brant Hospital. Your kindness, care and compassion was second to none, thank you. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington (one stoplight north of the QEW), 905-632-3333 on Tuesday June 25th, 2019 at 1 p.m., with visitation between 12pm and 1pm. It was so sad to hear about Carolyn's (your mom's) passing. My name is Tibor (from Windsor) and I enjoyed working with Carolyn at Tree of Life. What I remember most is that she was a classy lady. She showed her generosity by going out of her way to pick me up at the Oakville train station and us driving in together for our natural seminars. That was voluntary on her part and certainly not expected but so much appreciated. It gave me an opportunity to get to know her better. Doing for others is part of who she was -- a smiling, pleasant person who enjoyed a good laugh. The last my wife and I saw her was at her retirement party. Take comfort in knowing your mom was a gracious person and she will be missed.

Kim, Mike, Christopher, RJ, Greg, and Walter, my deepest condolences for the loss of your Mother, Mother-in-law, Grammy and Sister. Ms. Stait was an extraordinary lady, one of class, sass, confidence, humour and a lady who had so much love to give to those around her. She will be truly missed.
I want to thank her for passing through my life and for the times that we shared, at the hospital, around the Bingo table, where at least one of her bingo cards had to have the #13 on it, while doing her nails, participating in Craft and Tea-time with her, taking her down to her physio classes, and people watching along the way, and just having random conversations about anything and everything.
Although she had a very long stay, in the hospital, her spirits were always up and she was the one lady that you could talk to and she would put that smile on your face, all while she would enlighten you with memories of her life with her family, whom she loved, and cherished, so very much.
Christopher and RJ, you are the world to your Grammy and although she is no longer of this world, she is now an Angel that will always be with you, and she will love each and every one of her family members forever, as she now sleeps with our Lord, and she is at Peace.
May God Bless, and strengthen you, sustain you, and give each of you the Peace that surpasses all understanding as you face this most difficult journey.
I will truly miss you and your jovial ways, your strength and determination that has humbled me.
I love you and I will never forget you...Carolyn Ruth Stait.
Thank you for the memories, Ms. Stait.
Rest in Peace.

We are very sad with Carolyn’s passing, she will be greatly missed. She was very special, upbeat, and very tenacious in her work, and a joy to be around in social settings. She loved life, and I am sure that the only reason that she retired from the job that she loved was to help take care of her beloved grand kids that she was so proud of. Her retirement party was a grand affair, she was sad to leave, but so looking forward to the next phase of her life. Both Gloria and I loved her company, the highlight of which was going to see ‘The Music Man’ live performance and her contagious laughter throughout. She was very special!

So sorry to hear about the loss of your mom, she was so special to so many, I'm privileged and proud to have known her. I worked with her at tree of life, cherishing precious time together at our national meetings. She spent hours reminiscing about you and your brother, and of course those grandkids she was so proud of. I loved every story she shared with me, I will cherish the memories forever. God bless you at this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Sharon Will Headley
