I first met Doug 32 years ago. We had a common love of sailing and golf, both of which he did considerably better than I. Doug had a very friendly laugh which he shared readily, and he was always interested in what others had to say and what they were doing. It was a genuine pleasure to be in his company, and I consider it a great privilege to have had him as part of my life’s journey. Sail on, Doug. You will certainly be missed, but never forgotten. Bon voyage. My sincere condolences to all.
