In 1987 we moved to Glenwood Ave., Grimsby, ON. Overtime we got to know the neighbors on the street and one such neighbor was Fred Chivers. Across the street and a few houses south we had a front yard view of Fred's home. Birch trees, a white wooden fence and wonderful flower beds is what we saw. Fred's house was a corner lot and before Niagara Street was developed on his corner Fred took the responsibilty of making sure that parcel of lawn that is now Niagara Street was kept up as well as his own front lawn. That is being the kind of neighbor Fred was and what makes Grimsby such a great place to live.
