BRANCH, William Clifford

After a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease, Bill left this world to join his beloved wife, Luanne in their next life. Bill leaves behind his 5 children, Andrew, Logan (Andrea), Shannan (Steve), Trevor (Annette), Tim (Rachelle) and 11 cherished grandchildren, Eric, Stephanie, Adam, Jaidyn, Lucas, Sydney, Thomas, Parker, Beckett, Abby and Chase.

Bill was born in Bathurst and remained an East-coaster at heart his entire life. He met the love of his life, Luanne, in high school and they married shortly after, enjoying 52 happy years of marriage. Bill joined Royal Bank straight out of school and proudly worked there his entire career. His career took the family around the country to places like Montreal, Sudbury, Ottawa and Burlington where he made many dear friends for life.

Bill was a real family man and went on many camping trips and holidays when the children were young. Later in life, Bill took up golf and became an avid golfer with Luanne. Bill & Luanne spent many happy winters in Florida golfing with family and close friends. Bill will be remembered as a kind, honest, thoughtful, caring, humorous and loving, father, husband, Papa, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Due to the current pandemic and restrictions on gatherings, there will be no service or Celebration of Life. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bill are asked to please consider Parkinson’s Canada.

Private Condolence

We wish to convey our most heartfelt sympathy to his precious five of a family, their wives, and husbands. It really has saddened us to think that those grandchildren (now adults) were not able to say goodbye to their wonderful grandfather. He and Luanne were always so proud of them all and their accomplishments. They are now beautiful and skilled individuals.
Our condolences as well to his older brother, Byron and Mae. .
It is with very sad hearts we are saying goodbye to our dear brother- in- law, Bill. We will miss him He has been a part of
our lives for most of our lifetime since growing up in Bathurst. He and Russ had been big buddies growing up then his
marriage to Luanne, my sister, sealed the deal. We have had constant contact even though we lived in different parts of the country. After retirement we both had more closer contact travelling throughout the US and a lot of time in Florida with more family and friends. Golf, dinners and crib took up a lot of our time each trying to come out on top. There was always a frightful competition with the girls against the guys. Rest in peace Bill! Russ and Verda Logan.

My deepest sympathies to the Branch Family. Mr. Branch was a very kind man, and I feel lucky to have had him as part of my life growing up. Always enjoyed the visits and his great sense of humour.

Bill was a kind soul with a wry sense of humour. I thoroughly enjoyed playing golf with Bill and Luanne at Beverly G&CC and laughing over a meal afterwards. All the best to his family. Wendy Torresin

Condolences to the family. We knew Bill & Luanne as a young loving couple when we were high school friends. We picked up our relationship again when we retired to Florida. We spent many wonderful times together golfing, socializing and eating. Great memories. Their Florida visits are sure missed. We never met their wonderful children but he spoke of you often. Great parents, great people....they are missed so much by us. Hubert & Donna Doull
