It is Mothers Day today and not surprisingly it started with a tear. Sure wish you were still with us mom. Your face, the sound of your voice is still clear as day but I really miss the love, the warmth, your empathy your sense of humour. I miss everything about you! Everything that made you the most wonderful, most special mother ever! Mom, I was in my kitchen baking a pie this morning and while doing so thinking back to the many fabulous pies you made. My pies will never be as good as yours mom, but that is okay. Not that I dont try, but I think your pies were the best because you put so much love into every one of them. Ummm I wonder what you had on your mind when you made your apple pie with salt instead of sugar? know you were disappointed but we all laughed. Youre so very funny sometimes mom. Life is about laughter and I have to remind myself of that sometimes. Well mom, Im going to give Sheryl a call shortly and see if she would like a piece of my strawberry rhubarb pie.
