Obituary

So many hearts have been broken as we sadly announce the peaceful passing of Randy on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at The Carpenter Hospice at the age of 54. In the presence of his loving family he lost his battle with cancer. A battle he bravely fought.
Predeceased by his parents, John (Shan) and Margaret Whitty, grandparents John and Bridget Whitty, Peter and Alice Power; his father and mother-in-law, Kev and Ann Owens.
Sadly, leaving behind his devoted wife Pam; adored children Crystal (Jordan) and Andrew; his pride and joy grandchildren Brooklyn and Ridge.
Randy was a cherished brother to Brian, Barry (Helen) , John (Karen), Pauline (Peter) Johnson, Robert (Marilyn), Lisa (Darrin) Holwell. Sisters-in- law Wanda Owens (Bernie), Brenda (Mike) Walsh, Bernadette (Jim) Antle, and just like a sister Tina Baird (Corey).
A loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Leaving behind many cousins and friends. He will also be missed by his aunts and uncles, Cyril (Genie) Power, Ethel Tapper, and Rita (Ed) Brennan.

Many fond memories, along with a cold beer, were shared with his large circle of “Family of Friends”.
Randy lived life to the fullest with his wife and best friend Pam of 34 years. Randy loved his children and was such a proud poppy to his grandchildren. He was a dedicated family man.
His loyalty is also reflected in his work life where he was employed for 33 years with Allcolour Paint. An easy-going guy with a great sense of humor who enjoyed many get-togethers and shenanigans with his siblings and friends. Those days will surely be missed.
A sincere thank you to our family physician Dr. Wendy Reiser, and the entire oncology team at Joseph Brant Hospital who made Randy’s past 18 month battle a little bit easier with their kindness, compassion, and support.
Sincere appreciation to the LHIN Program and staff. Randy’s last days were spent as he called it at his “All inclusive”, The Carpenter Hospice. There are not enough words to thank all the staff members and volunteers at this wonderful home away from home.

Pam Crystal and Andrew I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of such a wonderful husband father Poppie and friend. The warmth, love, humor, compassion and joy Randy had and shared with all are traits rarely seen today especially in one package let alone in an entire family. He has left behind a legacy one would have trouble to follow but with no doubt his family will do him proud. Randy fought a battle no one wants to fight but he and family did so with vigor and determination. This battle was lost to us but a gain to the heavens above.
The sky shines so much brighter with his star twinkling down on all of us just as bright as his eyes did when he was with us.
You can now Rest in Peace.
