Where do I begin with memories of my Auntie Phyl. I remember being a little girl in England when she and Uncle Harold came for a visit. I thought she was so beautiful and him very handsome. They were the relatives from across the ocean. We had a wonderful time and I will always remember that visit. We spent many holidays together but as families grew we did not see as much of each other as we should have. In the last few years we were able to visit her in the nursing home. She always lit up when walked in, she may not have remembered we were there, but she sure had fun while we were there. I found it very difficult to leave, she seemed to enjoy the visit so much. I was looking forward to her birthday party and had bought her a birthday card saying "Happy 100th Birthday" she loved a good joke and probably would have thrown it at me but we would have laughed. We always laughed when visiting her, she had a great sense of humor. She did live a wonderful life and I will always remember her, I will take my mom for lunch just as she would have liked.
