Condolences

Condolence From: Caroline Wright
Condolence: Just heard the sad news of my aunt’s passing. I have fond memories of family visits to the house on the hill in Burlington. I see Gene busy in the kitchen. She always listened and took time to make you feel special while at the same time cooking terrific meals that our families could enjoy together. I will miss you.

Condolence From: Cindy Tyre Smith
Condolence: Hello Terry, Sheila and Kevin and Families
Sincere condolences on the death of your Mum. She was as you know a lovely lady, and one who will be fondly remembered. As children we used to so enjoy our visits to your home at Aldershot. I took my Mum to see Gene whilst on a visit to Oakville in 2013 (I will try and post the photo for you), and their reminiscences were amazing, having known each other for about 80 years. Gene showed me her wedding dress, a fabulous gold creation. She was a good and gracious lady and I'm sure will be much missed by you. Thinking of you all at this sad time. Cindy (Tyre)Smith

Condolence: One of the greatest friends my Mom ever had. We lost rack of Gene after Mom passed in 2014. I will always remember visits to the house on the hill and summer days in the pond. Gene's home made ketchup was never matched in my kitchen, after many attempts. Gene always took the time, when able, to visit Mom in Oakville. I'm sure there will be a little hen party in heaven. Mom never mentioned Gene's real first name was Mina.
But then again, Gene was one of the few who called Mom Alwyn.
This is always a tough time for family. Our sincerest condolences at your loss.
