SHARP, Grace Evangeline (nee Orser)-
Peacefully passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the age of 80 years. Amazing wife and best friend of Charlie for 57 years. Grace dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. Loving mother of Jan Filsinger, Craig (Susan) and Chris. Cherished Grammie of Ty, Brynn, Elliott, Ethan, Owen, Taylor and Carley. Grace was the youngest of six children and is survived by her two sisters, Helen and Edna. She was loved immeasurably and brought immense happiness to her family and many friends. Grace retired from teaching and was well loved at Clarksdale Public School. In her retirement she traveled the world with her best friend Charlie. There was nowhere in the world she wanted to go that she did not visit.

Chris, Craig & Jan -

I couldn't get used to calling your Mom "Grace" - always and forever "Mrs. Sharp" to me - but never was there a more suitable name. She was Grace, and Kindness, Joy, Warmth. Cam and I always felt very welcome in your home... as long as we never set a toe in the living room! I am sorry for your loss. My condolences to your Dad also.

Hello Charlie,
I am so sorry to hear of the death of Grace. P;ease accept my sincere condolences. You along with your children and grandchildren will have many great memories of Grace to help you as you as you face the days and weeks ahead. It seems that it was only a short time ago that Grace along with Nancy and I were at Peterborough Teachers College surveying what the future for each of us would reveal. My prayers are with you. Kind regards, Bob Fair

I was saddened to hear from Jan of Grace’s passing last week. My heart goes out to Charlie, Jan, Chris, Craig and Sue, as well as all other family members. We have lost a special and beautiful person. As a teenager and adult, I always found that Grace and her family would be welcoming anytime that I, or others would attend the Sharp home. This spoke to the kindness and generosity of Grace and her family. She was a bright light in any room, and always saw to it that her guests were comfortable. Grace always took a genuine and keen interest in the events of my life and others, because she cared. I have no doubt that many will remember Grace as the intelligent, beautiful, and gentle soul that she was. I can envision her incredible smile and still hear her wonderful laugh – she had a great sense of humour and even greater sense of wit. For a small individual, she sure packed enormous hug and a huge personality! I continue to be grateful that I had an opportunity to know Grace and her family.
Best wishes,
Andy Carnovale
