Laura Harrison friend from WSIB
I met Vivien at the WSIB in 1993 when we worked the evening shift. From 1993 until Vivien joined the Board full time, four of five of us who lived east of downtown Toronto would take the GO train home together. It was good to have this companionship and the friendship was extended as Vivien invited us to Christmas holiday gatherings at the house in Whitby where Ray and Vivien excelled as hosts. On another occasion we experienced the delightful singing voices of Lara and Amanda. Vivien's 60th birthday party was celebrated at the U of T and Vivien's sense of humour was evident when she appeared sporting a grey wig and long gown ! Shortly after the move to Burlington a group of us met at the house for another memorable get-together. There were other occasions where Vivien's generosity and thoughtfulness shone and her sharing spirit will not soon be forgotten.

Raymond, Lara & Savio, Amanda & Andrew we are so deeply sorry for your loss. May memories of Vivien and the love of family embrace you and give you strength in the days ahead. It has been said that those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear. Vivien will be greatly missed but her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever.
