HARRIS, Darryl Calvert -

It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the passing of this great man! Darryl passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton on Thursday June 25, 2020 at the age of 66. Loving and devoted husband of Lorelee Mae Harris (nee Jolleys) for 46 years. Supportive father of Ainslee MacRae (Ian) and Jennee Cordeiro (Jeff). Proud Papa of Lilee MacRae, Liam MacRae, Milo MacRae and Harris Cordeiro. Dear brother of Debby Harris, Gloria Dorn (Cory) and Bill Harris (Maureen Pickney). Darryl will also be fondly remembered and missed by the extended Jolleys and Harris families as well as numerous friends and past colleagues. Darryl lived and enjoyed an inspiring full life! He fiercely loved his family, was a mentor to many, a successful executive and he greatly enjoyed world travel, sports and a good meal. He will be sincerely missed and his legacy will be carried on through the lives of the many people he touched. As per his wishes, Private Cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Darryl to Food4Kids Halton or Juravinski Cancer Center would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Lorelee, Ainslee, Jenee, and family. We are very sorry for your loss. Darryl was truly one of a kind. Always making sure that everyone is having a good time. I have so many fond memories growing up around my Dads best bud Darryl, and he is someone that I looked to as a role model and I respect very much.

I had the privilege of golfing with Darryl at Wooden Sticks 2 years ago and felt compelled to snap this picture because I knew I wanted to capture this legend in action. We will miss you Darryl. ❤ ⛳ 🎶🍻

We're happy to make donation to food4kids Halton in memory of Darryl.

Such a lover of life and family. Darryl was always larger than life and boisterous to say the least. His passing will leave a hole in all of our lives. Heartfelt sympathy to Lorelee, Ainslee, Jennee and the family.

Uncle Darryl, You have always been my mentor, family and friend. You always told me how important family is “remember how lucky you to have this family - family is forever” - I always will. You came to my softball games and taught me to throw properly as a lefty. You fixed my golf game - sorry I hit you in the belt buckle with my slice (auntie Lor almost fell outa the cart with laughter). Because of you, I got an early love for music listening to Van Morrison, Elton John and the Beatles at the yellow house in Cloverdale. You always told me I had the coolest aunties and uncles; and I know I do!
You introduced me to my love of fine wine, good cigars, Bourbon and great conversations. The dinners you made were not meals but events. During my weekend layovers in Toronto we always had our late night talks about life, love and business and your advise will always stay with me. Miss you forever and love you more.

Auntie Lor , Ainz, Jenn & Family my heart breaks for you; I know there are no words that can full the emptiness you are feeling. “Family is forever” and we are here for you always.
Love Kathy xoxo

I came to CJH late (grade nine) and Darryl was one of the first boys I
noticed . Happy, friendly and so cute !! He was always surrounded by kids,
boys and girls , and was the type of person you hoped would one day be
your friend too. Then I was invited to my first Cloverdale party (so excited) and
Darryl Harris asked me to dance !! Although I was the taller of
the two at that point , I did not care ! I remember thinking to
myself “ I have arrived !! “
Lorelee, we are so sorry and sad for your loss . And we will miss
Him and just the thought of him , so much . You and your beautiful
family were obviously the lights of his life !
