Mrs. Buckley was my kindergarten teacher at Holy Rosary and she taught me how to spell my name. I always remember her fondly. Condolences and much love from all the McKeowns.

To Barb's family, I lived in Burlington for eleven years and along the way through mutual University Women members I met Barb and Sean. We visited at your parents home and they were always perfect hosts. Barb was without a doubt a fun loving, kind and proud parent of you all! My deepest sympathy to the Family.

My condolences to the family of Barb - many wonderful memories of our St. Patrick’s choir and sharing teaching stories. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Francy Tuffner Posted at 08:26pm

Thank you Joan. I know she values your friendship through the years. St. Patrick's Church and choir were like a secons family to her. I know she missed everyone so much the last couple of years.

Mrs. Buckley was my kindergarten teacher at Holy Rosary in 1978-79 and I still remember her very very well, with many vivid images from the days in her classroom. I also recall her daughter (I believe) coming in to dance for us children, doing a routine with ribbons. Mrs. Buckley looks the same in the photo here on the site! Takes me right back to my childhood! Please know of my prayers for Mrs. Buckley and for all the family. I am a priest now for 17 years, and will offer mass for her and for the whole family tomorrow. Thank you Lord for such a wonderful person!

Francy Tuffner Posted at 08:31pm

Thank you Father Mark. Mom spoke fondly of having the Wendling children in her classes (not Michael unfortunately). She truly had a passion for teaching and certainly loved her "kindergateners". And yes, it was me who came in with the ribbons! You have a great memory! We appreciate you offering a mass for mom, as we have been unable to gather together, but we will sometime in the future. Thank you for your kind words and memories.
