Obituary

MAIR, Andrew
(June 29, 1985-November 23, 2019)

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew, age 34 at the Hamilton General Hospital. Cherished son of Tina, and brother to Victor. Son of Robert. Beloved grandson of the late Vittorio and Vera Monaco. He will be deeply missed by his Aunt Cecile and Uncle Tony, his Aunt Betty Uncle Leonard and Uncle Claudio. He will live forever in the memory of his cousins, John Paul (Paula), Francesco, Giulia, Mark (Elena), Matthew, Evangeline, Melissa, Alexander (Nathalie), Veronica (Chris), Alex, Nick, Sandra, Margherita (Michael), Joey and Paul. Andrew was truly blessed to have had so many special people who loved and cherished him. Andrew was an adventurous, outgoing, funny and caring person. He held his family above everything else and was always willing to help. He had the ability to brighten up any room with his infectious laughter. He was passionate about fishing, concerts, cooking, nature and hockey. He spoke with such enthusiasm and energy. He shared his love of Fifty Point, where at the annual family picnic he took great pride in selecting a premium spot with the best view. We could always rely on Andrew to make any small task a fun adventure. As children he would create new games for himself and his cousins to enjoy. His story telling, wit and dedication to family will be missed and our memories of him will be held dear in our hearts. Funeral Service will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial contributions to Zachary’s Paws for Healing www.zacharyspawforhealing.com or to a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Dear Andrew
The moment that you passed my heart was torn in two. One side filled with heartache, the other died with you. Remembering you is easy, I’ll do it every minute but missing you is heartache that will never go away. I’ll hold you tightly in my heart and there you will remain until the joyous day arrives, when, we will meet again. Until then, I leave you in your Nonna’s care. I am certain that she is looking forward to giving you a humongous hug and sharing in your many colourful fishing adventures. You are her “mascarino”!
Love always and “FOREVER YOUNG” Mom
