LINK, Yvonne Rose
1946-2016

It is with sad hearts that we announce Yvonne’s passing at her home in Mississauga, Ontario, on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the age of 70. Dear daughter of late Sidney Ralph Link and late Madge Victoria Harvey, and sister of Connie Salmi and her husband Allan of Burlington. Loving niece of Myrtle Cormack of Scarborough; cherished aunt of Janet Boddington and Ellen Boddington (Brad Boyko) and great aunt of Alexandra Uhraney; loving cousin of Mary-Elaine and Ron Morrison and family of Burlington and Jean Grose and family of Fairfax, Virginia and North Bay. Yvonne was a gifted Montessori teacher who delighted in her students and fostered a love of learning. She lived life to the fullest, was a talented artist and had a passion for travelling the world. She will truly be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Yvonne’s gift of teaching will continue to live on as her wish was to donate her body to the University of Toronto for the benefit of the Faculty of Medicine and its students. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Lowville United Church, Burlington on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at 1pm. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Yvonne’s memory to Lowville United Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
