Condolence From: Michael Johnston
Condolence: My heart goes out to all receiving this note. I can't make it tomorrow, but Dad, Beth, and Dave will be there. I wrote this poem, and I hope it helps everyone feel better. Mike.

by ear

he fathered the cooler cousins
piloting fleet of Monte Carlos
best intellect amongst his seven
with mind fixed wider than most
that was my uncle Roy, salesman
Burlington Chevrolet Oldsmobile
teacher before I got to know him
drilled me on ability in grammar

man left this earth past Christmas
can't remember last time I saw him
I would have liked to hear his piano
waking mornings on his often visits
he cruised in spirit of an ocean wave
automobile was key in the equation
what V eights can do for light body
in tones of grey & the softest blues
