Condolence: I had the great pleasure of working with John on a couple of St. Pauls United Church's committees. John was a true gentleman with a wicked sense of humour. His financial acumen, tireless efforts and foresight led the church towards a path of financial viability. He will be truly missed! My condolences to Pam and family

Condolence: While we have not spent time together in recent years we had some great times living together in Sault. Ste. Marie on graduation as well as Uof M and fraternity life. I will always cherish my time with John and remember him as one of the smartest, most honest and family dedicated men I have ever known. Bev and I wish for strength to Pam and John's three progeny.

Condolence: Dear Pam, Tim, Elizabeth,Kate and families,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of great loss.
We are thankful for the leadership that John brought to St. Paul's United Church through his work in the restoration of St Paul's Sanctuary and Education Building. It was a privilege and honour to work with John on the Capital Campaign. His enthusiasm and optimism for the project and his creative business background coupled with his sence of humour continually inspired us to do our best and to work through the 'tough' spots. The inspiration that John brought to the restoration of St.Paul's remains with us and the friendship that we enjoyed is forever cherished.
Blessings and Gratitude,
Ivan and Judy Hunter

Condolence: Sorry to hear of John's untimely death. I knew and worked with John at Richardsons from 1971 to 1977. After that in Oakville from 1980 to 1983. John was bright, articulate and competitive. Once when we played a tennis match (he did not play to my level) for a bet of a million dollars that he would not get a game from me, and he didn't, he wrote the check to " motor mouth", a referral to my yapping through out the match. Lost touch when I moved to England for 17 odd years.
God Bless, Alex.....

Condolence: John was a wise and gentle soul who shared so much with us as a congregation. Quietly he offered leadership when we most needed it. As his church family we will miss him greatly. My personal condolences to Pam and all the family at this time of sadness and loss.
