Well Louise, I will definitely miss you. You came into my life late and I am so happy to have had you for that time. I will miss our feisty talks and your great sense of humour. Love Janet

Mrs. Aldous was my grade 9 teacher - homeroom, English. She introduced me to Shakespeare,The Old Man and the Sea and how to write an essay. In fact, I failed my first English exam but resolved to improve - which I did with her guidance. She was tough. But we learned. She was always there with the music nights and musicals and told us she had studied piano at the Royal Conservatory. She was rightfully proud of her accomplishment there. At our last school reunion she was so interested in all her students lives beyond school. She hadn't aged one bit. This past weekend, we celebrated Humberside's 125th, and while we were wondering if we'd see Mrs. Aldous, news arrived of her recent passing. At 95, she had a long life and it sounds like a rich one at that. She will always be a part of who I am. May she rest in peace. I sent my deepest sympathy to her friends and family.
