Obituary for Katherine "Nora" McFarlane (McCoy)

Katherine  "Nora"  McFarlane (McCoy)
July 25, 2017 Passed peacefully at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital with family by her side. She leaves behind daughter, Sherry of Grimsby, and is pre-deceased by husband Sam and daughter, Donna McLean. She will be missed by grandchildren Danny, David, Candice, Jeff, and Sam and her four pride and joys, great grandchildren Emily, Brittany, Lucas and Natalie. She will be sadly missed by family, friends and her many recent neighbors who offered care, comfort and assistance during her time of need. Nora worked for Westinghouse Canada, in Hamilton for over 35 years. Following her retirement, she worked compassionately for Para-Med Heath Care St. Catharines as a companion/homemaker for many of the elderly in Grimsby.

The family wish to thank the Doctor's and Nurses at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for their dedication and kindness. Especially, to Dr. Glenn Pierce for his professional dedication for many years. Also, a special thank-you to Ronda at Orchard Terrace Care Centre for her kindness, recognition and assistance to Nora and her family during a difficult time, and to Tina on C-Ward, for her comfort and vigilance during Nora's final hours.

Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 12 Noon until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m.. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens in Stoney Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to McNally House in Grimsby would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
