Condolences

Condolence From: Kevin Coates
Condolence: It is with great sadness that I learned just last night about Dave's passing (I don't live in the area anymore). Dave was a close friend through most of high school, and was the bass player in our band Platnum Loy. We always had such intense conversations about an array of topics. Dave had unique perspectives and insights into anything we discussed. I still remember the first Rush licks he learned on bass. I also remember how incredibly polite he was around my parents (our rehearsals were at our house). We would go up to my room and listen to music for hours on end. We also wrote music together ("Capsule" was my favourite - Dave's lyrics: "Capsule floats in space - filled with bottled hate; Come with me, come with me together, come with me, come with me, forever.") I saw Dave sporadically through first year university, and maybe only one other time since. We just seemed to go in different directions. I wish peace to Dave's family, whom I also knew. Dave was a great soul. It was an absolute privilege to be his friend. Rest easy Dave - you're finally at peace.

Condolence: Though I didn't have the opportunity to get to know David well, the brief encounters I did have with him left me feeling that I'd had the privilege of being with a very kind soul.

Condolence From: Cathy Clarke
Condolence: I have so many memories of David at the cottage, Aberfoyle Mill for Nana and Grandad's wedding anniversary, and at family BBQs and Christmas gatherings, always ready with his dry wit and so very honest observations of the world around us. I appreciated and often counted on his unique perspective on life shared over a smoke with Aunt Em. Know that David had an impact on my life as did your family's love and support for each other. love you all, Cathy

Condolence: My oldest memories of David is how gentle he was. As we got older, I marvelled about how kind / gentle he was with my Mother. He always had the ability to make her day. A wonderful soul.

So very sorry for you loss.

Love you all
