Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in his 90th year, beloved husband of Gerda for 61 years. Loving father of Catherine (Harry), Alan (Alice), Colin (Jennifer), and Joanne (Brent). Cherished grandfather of Kyle and Daryl, Arielle and André, Megan and Avery, Connor and Aidan. Great grandfather of Harrison, Hunter, Cole and Nyomi. Gerald (Gerry) is survived by brothers and sisters-in law Miriam, Henk (Yvette) and Bob (Lynda). Predeceased by brothers Dirk (Margaret) and Alje.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at Wellington Square United Church (2121 Caroline Street, Burlington) on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions to the Huntington's Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
