HOCKEY

Eric and our friendship dates back to the late 1950's when we played outdoor hockey at the corner of Eramosa & Victoria road in Guelph. In those days, the rink was maintained by Eric's dad and many times Eric and his brothers Brian & David  & I would be the only ones honing our skills playing against each other on bitter cold days.. The Pilons were all great hockey players and I enjoyed playing with & against them all.  I moved to Montreal in 1969 and it wasn't until I moved back to Burlington in 1983 that I met up with Eric again through the Burlington Oldtimers. We subsequently enjoyed many great tournaments playing together.  I lost touch with Eric several years ago when he quit the Burlington Oldtimers but I will always have fond memories of him. He  a great hockey player and an equally wonderful person. RIP my friend.
