Joan will be sorely missed by Bill, husband of 62 years and her children Michael (Susan), Patrick (Cathy), John "Jay" (Charlene), Niurys, Mary Catherine Bonser (Grant) and Robert (Tracy). Proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. dear sister of Terri Young (Bob), Pegi Hannah (Rick Cox), Helen Horoky (Gary Cox) and Chris Hannah (Sue). Joan will be missed by her brother and sister-in-law Pat and Joyce Neill. She will be fondly remembered by countless friends and extended family in Canada and abroad. Upon graduating from Cathedral High School in 1954 Joan married Bill and had 6 children. As the children grew older Joan decided to upgrade her education and took classes at Cayuga high school. After a short time living in Sudbury, Joan and Bill moved back to Burlington where they rejoined the St. Raphael's family. At that time, Joan worked as a pharmacy assistant until retirement in 1989. She followed in her parents' footsteps with her love of music, joining several local choir groups. She retired from the Burlington Seniors' Choir in 2016 due to declining health. Joan loved her cats, gardening and exercise. She loved to stay active and in shape.
