My deepest condolences to the entire Tsukishima family. I had the great pleasure working alongside Al for almost 15 years in Edmonton. We spent many many times laughing, talking hockey, discussing IKEA routines and sweating hard at work into the late (or early) hours. Al didn’t share much of himself with many people, but over the years I got to know him I believe quite well. One of my favourite memories is when I stayed at his house in Oakville for 2 weeks of training and we went to the Hockey Hall of Fame. On my wall at home, is a picture of 2 smiling guys with the Stanley Cup….that was a great day and I will cherish the memory. Alan gave of himself in more ways than people will ever know and he always did everything with the goal of making people’s lives better. I am a better person today having known him and thank him for all he has given me. You will be missed my friend…
