Christmas's

Christmas was one of Jean's favorite time of year. Decorating the house, finding the right tree and yes it had to be the right tree, big and round, many a year there was two, one in the yard and the good one in the living room.  There would be a hundred and one blue lights on this tree, never enough in Jean's eyes, she always wanted more and the love of fake snow from a can.  Christmas eve the Grandkids would be sleeping and there would be Jean and I wrapping the gifts until 4 a.m. she had gifts hidden everywhere, one year she opened up the oven and there was a gift she had just brought and didn't want the kids to find.  You gave her a list and everything plus she had brought.  Forget finding somewhere to sit Christmas morning as the living room was full of presents, one time right to the front door.   She was always so thoughtful in making sure everyone felt special.  There was no T.V in the living room as this was a room she loved to entertain in, this room was filled with many unique treasures that at the time we thought " what is that " and many a time we had our own version of what it was.  She introduced me to Daniel steel, Dallas and shopping.  She loved to read, she loved a good drama series and she always had a new outfit or shoes.  Jean I hope your enjoying a nice glass of wine, cheese and some lindt chocolates and most of all you have found peace.  I thank you for being a big part of my lifes journey.  I will continue to share stories of our time together with Melissa, Michelle, Michael and the Great Grandchildren.  They are memories I will never forget.  xoxoxoxo
