I cannot tell you how sorry I was to hear about your dad. I was saddened by the news.
Please extend our sympathies to your mom and the rest of your family - I hope it comforts you to know that your grief is shared by all of us who knew your dad and were privileged to have been around him. His sense of humor was one of a kind.

Condolence: Dear Aunt Ellen,

My deepest sympathies to you, Kelly, Colleen and Glenn and all of the Laverty families on the loss of uncle Frank. I remember so much about him, especially as I grew up. Going to Montreal was always a big deal for our family whether it was for Christmas or to spend some time in the summer. Uncle Frank would always surprise us with tickets to the Montreal Forum or to see a football game. My parents always spoke so highly of him and my father had a great deal of respect for him, both as a man as well as a husband and father. I remember when my dad passed away, uncle Frank offered me such comfort that I always remembered in the later years. I hope that as time passes all of you will feel the comfort that only happy memories can bring.
