Obituary for Bob (Bohdan) Salo

SALO, Bob (Bohdan)-
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob (Bohdan) Salo after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife of 44 years Carolyn, sons Gregory and Ryan (Lauren), father Harry (late Claudia), sister Helen (Peter) Arthur. He will also be missed by his father-in-law, Dewey Darte, sister-in-law Janice (James) Strang, and brother-in-law Wayne (Cindy) Darte, nieces, Erin, Katie, Michelle and Ashley, great-niece Quinn and great-nephew Jeffrey. Bob traveled the world with his camera on his shoulder producing award winning videos for many clients including the City of Burlington, HHC, Carpenter Hospice and Joseph Brant Hospital, OMS Ireland & Joy and Hope of Haiti to name just a few. During the late stages of his illness, he concentrated on his artwork and produced several books of prose and art. A wonderful, talented husband, father and friend has gone on to higher purposes. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 12 noon until a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Joy & Hope of Haiti or The Carpenter Hospice would be appreciated.
