Obituary for Brian Preston

Preston, Brian Douglas, U.E.

It is with deep sadness in our hearts that the family announces the unexpected passing of our much loved Brian, age 48, at Hamilton General Hospital, on Tuesday September 23, 2008.

Brian leaves behind his best friend and life partner, Kathy Bell. Beloved son of June and his father Leslie Preston, who predeceased him. Dearly loved and missed by his sister Jennifer Temperley and companion Bill Hewlett. Fondly remembered by Kathy’s mother Margaret, brother Rick Bell, and sister Sandra and her husband Craig Biggar. Also fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Sarah, Christopher and James Temperley, Sarah Bell and Katie and Curtis Biggar.

Brian was a descendant of United Empire Loyalists, who were amongst the founding families of the City of Hamilton. He took great pleasure in his 1971 Ford Mustang. He was lucky enough to have found his true calling in a career in hair styling at Salon Miah, and had recently discovered the joy of gardening in his first home.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line,(one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON, (905-632-3333) on Friday, 26 September 2008, 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where Funeral Service will be held on Saturday September 27, 2008 at 2 p.m., The Reverend Suzanne Craven, Officiating. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Dear Brian, your life's journey has now ended. May God embrace you and grant you eternal peace and joy. You are much loved by all those who are left behind to mourn your loss.
