Suddenly on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Doreen (nee Miller). Dear and loving father of Rosemarie (Gregg) Dykstra of Byron Centre, MI, Catherine (Peter) Steiner of Rochester Hills, MI, Donna (Dave) Latchford of Grimsby, and Marilyn (Dave) Israel of Poway, CA. Dear grandfather of Matthew (Karen) Van Wely, Kristin (Scott) Gerryts, Ashley Van Wely, Mary Catherine, Laura and Thomas Steiner, David Sharpe, Carly (Stuart) Thorp, Alana Sharpe, Bradley, Jennifer, Melissa Israel and great-grandchildren Victoria, Mya and Nolan Thorp. Also missed by siblings Olga Wychopen, Anne Zahaluk and Michael Wychopen. Predeceased by siblings Helen Sadiwynk, Lillian Klym and Fred Wychopen. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with funeral prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral mass will take place at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. If desired, donations to McNally House Hospice, Grimsby would be appreciated by the family.
