WHISKIN, William James
Peacefully at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, Bill Whiskin in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Diane (Barnard) Whiskin for 50 years. Loved father of Alan and his wife Carolyn, Elaine and Andrea. Cherished grandfather of Hilary and Claire. Survived by brother Fred, sisters Lil Brierley and Dorothy Harris. Dofasco Electrical Foreman (Retired after 40 years service). Member of Scouts Canada as a youth, leader and held the position of Deputy Provincial Commissioner (Rovers). Co-founder of Brighter Futures Association, Founder of the Burlington Chapter Schizophrenia Society, Past Member of the Burlington Teen Tour Band Booster Executive and chaperone. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service at Port Nelson United Church, 3132 South Drive, Burlington on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Private Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Burlington. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to Brighter Futures Association or Port Nelson United Church would be appreciated. Thanks to Dr. W.
