HAWKEN, William Cullen Q.C. - Peacefully at St. Joseph`s Hospital, Hamilton on Thursday, May 18, 2006, at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee O`Grady). Loved father of William Cullen Hawken, Christopher Paul Hawken and his wife Terri-Anne and Joseph Anthony Hawken all of Burlington. Cherished grandfather of Lydia. Dear brother of Barbara and her husband Dr. John Johnson of Hamilton and Katherine and her husband George Dembroski of Toronto. Predeceased by his parents Dr. William Cullen Hawken and Gladys Hawken. Bill will also be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Bill maintained a Law Practice with Kerr and Hawken in Burlington since 1968. Member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Chair of Animal Review Board of Ontario, Former Trustee and Chair of Halton Catholic District School Board, Founding Member of the Burlington Youth Residence, Former Board Member of Halton Children`s Aid Society. Visitation at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), Monday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Brant Street (at Blairholm) on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. Vigil Monday 8:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
