William "Bill" Ellis
Passed away peacefully at The Village of Tansley Woods, Burlington on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Mary Lu. Dearly loved dad of Judy (Tom Galvin), the late Douglas (Diana Simpson), Bob (Karen) and Jim (Marla). Proud grandad of Jay, Chris, Graham, Robin, Kristina, Sydney and Carly, and great-grandad of Aidan, Audrey and Adriana. Predeceased by his sister Jean Davis Sheldon. As the first Canadian employee, Bill enjoyed a distinguished 37 year career as District Sales Manager with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation). Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 7-9 PM, where a Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 1 PM. Private Interment at a later date. For those who wish, donations in memory of Bill to the Carpenter Hospice (2250 Parkway Drive, Burlington, ON L7P 1T1) would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
