ANDERSON William (Bill)

With his loving family by his side at The Brant Centre on Saturday, November 6 Bill, in his 91st year, passed away peacefully in his sleep. Predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth (Betty) Anderson, 2002. Beloved husband and loving partner of Elizabeth (Betty) for 69 years. Survived by his son Bill and his wife Brenda of NB. Dearly loved and beloved Dad of Anne and her husband, Mike Maidla of Binbrook. Loving Grandpa to William and Tracey Anderson of Winnipeg, Lisa and Brad Smith of Hagersville and Jennifer Lloyd of Toronto. Proud and loving Great Grandpa "Willie'' to William Anderson of Winnipeg, Emily Anne and Kerri Lynn Smith of Hagersville. Will also be sadly missed by his extended family in Ontario, NB, Scotland and US. Bill was a retired electrician of Ford Motor Co (truck plant), as well as an avid member of The Burlington Lawn Bowling Club where he tended the roses with infinite care. Hence his nickname "Rosie" The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff of the 3rd floor Port Nelson and the 4th floor, Spencer Creek for their wonderful care over the past 11 months especially for the last few days of Bill's life. You truly are "angels here on earth". Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Thursday November 11 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. where Funeral Service will be held on Friday November 12, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada or The Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
