Obituary for Victor Rojenko

Rojenko, Victor-

Passed away peacefully at McNally House, Grimsby, on Saturday, October 16, 2010, in his 92nd year after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. Dearly loved by his wife Anna of 67 years. Beloved father of Jerry (Helen) and Sandy. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Luba (Brett), Larissa, Greg, Lasha and Sandy Jr. and his great-grandchildren James and Matthew. He will be sadly missed by his remaining brother Anatoliy and sisters Lena and Vera and their extended families in Ukraine and by many friends, veterans, clergy and military personnel in Canada, USA and Ukraine. Sincere thanks to Dr. G. Fraser, Tracy Allen RN and Hematology staff at Juravinski Cancer Centre and Drs. Marshall and Scott and the staff at McNally House for their compassionate care and support. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Panachyda Tuesday at 7:30 pm at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place at St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 19 Ontario Street, Grimsby, on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at 11:30 am. A reception will be held in the church hall after the service. Interment to follow the reception at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery, 1280 Dundas Street West, Oakville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Children of Chernobyl Fund or St. George's Church, would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
