BECK, Veronica (nee Lucas) -
Passed away peacefully, with family by her side at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on Sunday February 14, 2016 at the age of 84. Predeceased by loving husband Raymond Beck (1997). Survived by her devoted companion of the last 12 years Harris Chapman and his family. Dear mother of Wayne Beck (Ingrid), Beverley Plows (John Paige), Brenda Gagnon (Andre), and Gary Beck (Terri Ncampanella). Proud grandmother of Jeremy (Lindsay), Aaron, Justin, Brandon, Tara (Bill), Morgan (Paul), Heath (Mandy), Desiree, Jenna (Mike) and Emma. Great-grandmother of Emma, Hunter, Ethan, Harlow, Aiden, Abigail, Charlotte, Damien, Alexis, and Evelyn. Cherished sister of 15 siblings; survived by sister Marina Lesofski (Albert) and brothers Reggie and Bert Lucas. Veronica will also be missed by many extended family and friends. To celebrate her life, a Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10:30am, with a reception to follow. Private family interment to take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Burlington. If desired, donations in Veronica’s memory to The Carpenter Hospice or a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
