KENT (BAILEY), Sylvia (nee Harding) - On Friday, January 7, 2005, with her family at her side, in the comfort and caring of the Carpenter Hospice, Sylvia Kent, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Marlowe Kent. Much loved mother of Steve and Lynn Bailey, Barbara and the late Christopher Bailey, Pat Bailey, Mickey and Mary Bailey, Marcia and Alan Baynton, Maureen and Wayne Allison, Denise and Allan Pearson, and stepmother of June Buchanan of Oregon. Cherished grandmother of twenty grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Sylvia will also be sadly missed by her Tuesday Angel, Christine Bailey; and her Dot Gow and U.C.W. friends at Wellington Square United Church. Visitation at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Wellington Square United Church, 2121 Caroline Street, Burlington, on Monday, January 10, 2005, at 2 p.m. Interment Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery, Milton. Sylvia`s sense of humour was evident as she raised seven children. Mom could only find the best in anyone. Her sweet smile, compassion and gentle disposition, even in times of adversity, was an inspiration to all who knew her.
