Phillips, Sandra "Sandy" (nee Brandow)
With great sadness we announce the passing of Sandra Phillips, unexpectedly, at Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday, January 29, 2011, in her 63rd year. Beloved wife of Tom for 30 years. Loving mother of Shirley-Ann Hopkins of Hamilton and Tom (Robin) Hopkins of Cambridge. Cherished grandmother of Ethan, Evan and Reid. Predeceased by her parents George and Kay Brandow. Dearly missed by sister Shirley Childs (Glen) of Capreol and mother-in-law Edna (the late Thomas J.) Phillips of Beamsville. Also missed by uncle Alfie (Linda) Keddy and nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, many friends, and her extended family at Empire Transportation. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Hamilton General Hospital for all their care and support. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 10 Mountain Street, Grimsby on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. Burial at Mountain Cemetery, Grimsby.
