Obituary for Robert William "Bob" Urquhart

Robert William "Bob" Urquhart
URQUHART, Robert 'Bob'
Peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of the late Anne Urquhart (nee Carline). Loving father of Bob and his wife Linda, Stephen, and Fiona. Grampy will be cherished forever by his granddaughter and 'light of his life', Emelia. Cherished grampa of Karry and Michael and great-grampa of Hunter and Connor. Much loved brother of Joan Barton. He will be fondly remembered by his loving companion of 4 years, Edith Vardy. Predeceased by his brothers George (Ruth) and Charlie (Linda). Dearly missed by his nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Sadly missed by best friends Liza and her late husband Joe. Grand Oaks Park will sadly miss one of it's oldest mayors. As most of you know, Bob's personality would fill up a room and was larger than life. He will dearly missed. As per Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at the Halton Naval Veteran's Club, 2444 Industrial Street, Burlington at a later date. If desired, donations in memory of Bob to a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
