At the Hamilton General Hospital, Hamilton on Sunday, September 25, 2005 in his 76th year. Loving partner of Margaret (Marg) Taylor. Cherished father of Tom Stirling, Gordon Stirling ( Becky), Lori West (Greg), Lynn Mintz (Mike), , Heather Fleet, Betty Smith (Rick) and Kim Denarde (Brett)and He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Spencer, Jessica, Dayn, Teneal, Michelle, Rachel, Ryan and Joe. Dear brother of Myrtle Hastings. He is predeceased by his wife Alice Stirling (1994). Bob was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #60 Burlington where he served as 1st Vice President and was a retired transport driver from Glengarry Transport. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p. m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 11 a. m. Cremation to follow.
