Riddell, Robert William "Bob"

Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at the age of 59 after a courageous fight against ALS. Beloved husband of Lynda (nee Dalgleish). Loving father of Dave (Jen) and Beth (Adam). Cherished grandfather of Adam, Alayna, Lindsey and Matthew. Dear brother of Glenn (Karen) Riddell, Lynn (Jim) Shannon, and Janet (Steve) Riddell. He will be sadly missed by many other family members, friends and neighbours. A heartfelt thanks to the West Lincoln Palliative Care team and VON nurses. Bob was a former member of Twenty Valley Golf and Country Club and a longtime member of the Grimsby Curling Club. He will always be remembered for his warm smile, his outgoing personality and his positive outlook on life. Family and friends will be received at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, Grimsby (905-945-2755) on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Centennial Park Baptist Church, 11 Kennedy Road, Grimsby on Monday, February 27, 2006 at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Canada or to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
