Born in Winona, Ontario, Robert passed away surrounded by family at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Thursday, June 2, 2016, in his 86th year. Loving husband of the late Betty. Cherished father of Carolyn (Serge Levesque) and Kate (Scott Post). Dearly loved grandfather of Marshall and Georgia. Much loved by three generations in both the Cocks and Thomas families. Robert will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. While Robert was a talented carpenter by trade, his real passion was the family fruit farm which produced some of the finest cherries, peaches and plums in the Winona area. Gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Julie Timko and caregivers at Lincoln Park Residence and West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Visitation at Stonehouse-Whitcomb Funeral Home, 11 Mountain Street, Grimsby (905 945 2755) on Monday from 6-9 pm. Funeral service to be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment Fifty Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Robert may be extended to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, and would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
