Obituary for Robert "Bob" Joseph Charles Eugene Lepinay

Robert "Bob" Joseph Charles Eugene Lepinay
LEPINAY, Robert J.C.E.
(1935–2016)

Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on Sunday, April 24, 2016, in his 81st year. Beloved husband and golf and bridge partner, and best friend of Edith (nee Siu). Dear brother of Pierrette Ratte (late Gilles) and late Louise Lasnier (Antoine). Special uncle of Francois (Linda) and Helen (Mark). Brother-in-law of Roger Siu (Miranda), Yolande Lew (Edwin) and Leela Law (Peter). Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and extended family. Bob will be sadly missed by his childhood friend Yves Bourdon (Francoise), long-time friends Ross Morton, Yan and Henrianna, his colleagues, and numerous golf and bridge friends.

Bob retired as Chief Underwriter with Royal Insurance after more than 40 years of service. He had been a member of Tyandaga Golf and Country Club since 2003. He enjoyed music, computer games and sports, and he was an excellent bridge player. The Toronto Blue Jays have lost one of their greatest fans. And his distinctive laugh will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016, at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 196 Kenwood Avenue, Burlington. Visitation: 11:00 to 12:45, followed by a Mass to be at 1:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served in the church hall following the Mass. Private cremation to take place at a later date.

If sending flowers, the family’s preference is red or white, otherwise donations to Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation (jbhfoundation.ca) would be sincerely appreciated. (Arrangements entrusted to Smith’s Funeral Home, Burlington, 905-632-3333.)
