Pye, Richard John "Bumpa"

With family by his side at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Grimsby on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the age of 71, Richard John Pye left us to be reunited with his wife, the late Patricia Anne (nee Middelkamp) Pye (2000). Dear and loving father of Kathryn Pye (Kevin Ryder) of Grimsby and Rick Pye (Danielle Palumbo) of Ajax. Cherished grandfather of Kali Walker Pye and Darius Richard Pye. Also missed by siblings Gordon Pye (and the late Bonnie), Susan Bowinkelmann (Heinz) of Hamilton and Mark Pye (Rose) of Hamilton. Richard was involved in many clubs such as the Knights of Columbus, Grimsby Benevolent Fund, the Optimist Club of Grimsby and the Progress Club of St. Catharines. He loved his family, football was his passion especially Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Montreal Alouettes. Special thanks to Dr. Lam, Dr. Taylor and the nurses and staff at W.L.M.H. C Ward for their extra care and concern. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with funeral prayers at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Burial at Queen's Lawn Cemetery, Grimsby.
