Ralph Robert  Courtney
Ralph of Healey Lake Ontario, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 3, 2017 in Parry Sound at the age of 68. Predeceased by his parents Stewart and Dorothy (Macdonald) Courtney and his wife Mary (Munro). He is survived by his wife Marilyn (Codner) and his daughter Sue (Sean Kenney) and son David (Lisa) as well as sons Jeff Hynes (Shannon) and John Hynes (Trudie). Ralph was an extremely proud grandfather (chief fishing buddy, tubing boat captain and all around best friend) of 9 adoring grandchildren. He served as a volunteer fireman at Station 2 in Burlington and was a dedicated employee of Stelco in Hamilton. A Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 12 noon until the time of service of Remembrance at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at the funeral home. If desired, donations in Ralph's memory are welcomed at the West Parry Sound Health Centre (https://wpshcf.com/donate_now.html) and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
