Obituary for Rachel Evelyn Gore

Rachel Evelyn Gore-

On Saturday March 13th 2010, Rachel (Rae to her family) passed away peacefully at her home in the arms of parents Mike and Laureen. She was the cherished little sister of Michael; loved grand daughter of Don and Lynne Ross; and Dave and Sheila Gore; dear niece of Donny Ross; and Christopher Gore and Pam Robinson. Rae will also be greatly missed by her cousins Cassidy, Ruby and Hilary; as well as her many great aunts and uncles and their children. Rae will always remain united to her god mother Kim Scanlan.

Special thanks to Darlene Greenhalgh and Corina Reimer and other members of WLMH who worked so hard to bring Rae into this world.

To doctors Tallet; Toulany; Zlotkin and Inez Martincevic; they recognized the special treasure that Rae was and treated her as such. To Dr. Chung and the nurses at McMaster Children's Hospital PICU; for their kindness and compassion in treating Rae.

A special thank you to our friend Dr. Heather Roelfsema. You stood by us and advocated for Rae from the very beginning. You never altered in your dedication and compassion toward Rae; your kindness and love have been admired, appreciated and welcomed.

The continued and unyielding support from the ‘thin blue line' continues to comfort us and we appreciate our inclusion in the brotherhood.

The wisdom in Rae's eyes went beyond her months and her smile was infectious to all those who were fortunate enough to witness it. Let us hope, that having the opportunity to know Rae, to witness her spirit and attitude towards life, has taught us all a little something and has left a piece of her within us all.

A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby on Monday March 22nd 2010 at 1 PM. Cremation has taken place. If desired, expressions of sympathy can be made to the McMaster Children's Hospital â€" Pediatric Critical Care Unit, and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
