CLARKE, ALLERSTON, (BARLETT) PHYLLIS ELAINE 1917-2010 -
With sadness, but the appreciation of a long life richly lived, we announce the passing of our dearest mother, Phyllis, on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Lakeshore Place Retirement Residence in Burlington. Beloved mother of Suzanne (John), Paul (Carolyn), and Marilyn (Tom) and step-mother to Merle (John). Cherished Nana of ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Pre-deceased by her husbands, Sidney Clarke (2004) and Robert Allerston (1958). Eldest sister of Lorne, Pat, Betty, and Gary. Pre-deceased by Trudy, Bill, Harry and Ted. Phyllis will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews and all those who will remember her wonderful smile and enthusiasm for life. Special thanks to the Staff at Lakeshore Place for their continuing support and care. Relatives and friends may call at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. where a celebration of Phyllis' life will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery, Hamilton. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
