Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital, on Saturday, March 6, 2010, in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Caroline. Loved father of Peter (deceased) and Francesca of Stoney Creek. Dear grandfather of Lance Whittaker (Stephanie) of Stoney Creek and Lisa Mathieson (Sande) of Hamilton and great-grandfather of Allyson and Margaret. Brother of Gerald Winter (Dorothy) of Lethbridge and the late Charles Whittaker (Dorothy), Mary Seiman and William Whittaker. Missed also by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Pioneer Memorial United Church, 1974 King Street East, (between Kenilworth and Parkdale) Hamilton, on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 1:30 pm. Memorial contributions to Pioneer Memorial Church, St. Joseph's Healthcare or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
