Obituary for Paul Graham

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 5th, 2011 in his 79th year at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington, with his family by his side. Beloved husband and best friend of Beverley for 55 years, loving father to his three daughters, Sandra and her husband Peter Donders, Cathy and her husband Rob Banks and Joanne and her husband Graham Stephen. Proud and loving grandpa to seven grandsons, Jamie and Scott Banks, Steven and Michael Donders and John, Matthew and Paul Stephen. Paul is survived by his brother, Donald Graham and his wife Nancy of Calgary, Alberta and his sister-in-law Norma Jones of Burlington and their families. Paul, along with his late father, Chris Graham, owned and operated Graham Hardware in Burlington for over 35 years. Paul was involved in community activities as a member and past President of the Burlington Central Lions Club and was honoured as a "Life" member of Lions International. He was a former coach and director of the Burlington Amateur Softball Association, a past Director of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce and served as both Steward and Elder in Port Nelson United Church. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Paul with his kind and loving heart as well as his sense of humour and warmth was a great inspiration to his family. He shared his wisdom and caring with many. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 1pm. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. If desired, expressions of sympathy to the Parkinson Society Canada, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
