Obituary for Norman Donald Woollings

WOOLLINGS, Norman Donald - Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2006 at Maple Villa Long Term Care Centre, Burlington. Beloved husband for 57 years of Joyce (New). Loving father of Bruce (Fay) of Guelph, Donald (Tina) of Canmore AB, Tom of Water Valley AB, and Gail Venters (Mark) of Hamilton. His two grand daughters, Fa-Linn and Nani of Canmore AB, as well as several nieces and nephews will also mourn him. Born in Toronto April 16, 1926 and son of the late Stanley Thomas and Isabel Woollings. Predeceased by his brother Stanley James, his sisters Violette Phillips and Beatrice Anstice. Norm attended Normal Model School, Harbord Collegiate and received a B.A.Sc. in 1948 and a M.A.Sc. in 1950 from the University of Toronto. He retired in 1984 after 31 years with Alchem/Nalco Inc. Cremation has taken place. In honour of Norm`s request, there will be no funeral service but there will be visitation at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday, June 2, 2006 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
